In addition to serving on the Board of Directors or on one of our Standing Committees, there are some other opportunities to help around the community:
The VOW Garden club was established in 2006 as a way for the people from each our villages to
come together to beautify our community and to create a sense of bonding among neighbors of
all our villages. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month except for August, at 10:00 am
at the clubhouse; annual dues are $20.00 which includes spouses. The Garden Club welcomes
new members at any meeting.
The members enjoy a variety of guest speakers, most of which are garden related plus an
occasional field trip. These programs cover a wide range of topics: plants, birds and insects,
anything we might encounter in our gardens. Other topics include gardens throughout the world,
therapy dogs for members of our armed services and musical programs. Our meetings always
enjoy a time of fellowship and delicious refreshments.
We have been active in keeping VOW a beautiful community by maintaining the clubhouse
garden; watering; weeding and trimming and volunteering as needed elsewhere in the
